The Donley Foundation makes grants to organizations that are tax exempt under the IRS Code 501 (c)(3) as well as public charities under IRS Code 509(a).
The Donley Foundation supports organizations in the following communities:
- The Allentown-Bethlehem area of the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania (Previous grantees only, No new applications are being accepted from this region.)
- The Upper Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire
- Greater York County, Pennsylvania
- The Townships of Western Cook County, Illinois, and their adjoining neighborhoods on Chicago's West Side
Grants are made for general operating support, project or program support, and scholarships. Grants are not made to individuals, nor are they made for religious or political purposes.
Grants range from $2,000 to $25,000 but do not usually exceed $10,000. Grants are made on a one year basis. No more than one request from an organization will be considered within a twelve-month period.
Grant recipients must submit a Grant Report within one year of the receipt of the grant payment. A Grant Report Form is included with the grant award.
