Note: Grant applications are not being accepted in 2023 while the Foundation undergoes a management transition. Any updates will be posted to the website, so please check back here for the latest information.

There are pivotal moments in life when many people do not have access to resources that will enable them to reach their potential. To improve opportunities at these moments, our Foundation focuses on:

  • Early Childhood
Activities supporting early childhood education and family literacy
  • Primary and Middle School Years
Programs that improve grade-level reading proficiency by fourth grade and provide quality out-of-schooltime activities
  • Post-secondary Success
Programs enhancing post-secondary opportunities such as college readiness and vocational education

For example, we support the following proven approaches:

  • Early childhood education (quality child-care and pre-school programs, parent education)
  • Social/emotional learning
  • Teacher training and support for effective teaching
  • Libraries (key educational resources in their communities)
  • Non-traditional secondary education and vocational training
  • Programs that support the journey to post-secondary success (tutoring, mentoring, enriched after-school and summer learning opportunities, college access programs, college persistence programs)
